Forwarding Emails

To enable 2 way comms with clients using the Finlegal application, a few requirements need to be met:

  1. Email address
    1. The email address that is used as the ‘send from’ email within the Finlegal application MUST be provisioned on M365 by the customer as FL is only pretending to send emails using the customer’s domain.
  2. Two way email comms
    1. Email forwarding
      1. Any client that responds to the email sent by FL, will see the response go to the customer’s mailbox and NOT directly to FL.
      2. For responses by clients to be accessible in FL – customer must forward on to FL the client’s email response
  3. Email forwarding setup
    1. Emails forwarded by customer to FL must be forwarded in the correct manner for the application to associate the email with a given client.
    2. This requires that the original email sent by the client is forwarded by the customer to FL as a copy of the original email client email with the email headers preserved.
    3. This forward functionality is a standard M365 functionality. Emails will need to be forwarded to a specific Internal FL email address, specific to the case.
